With our new AI function, our customers can individually customize designs created by partner designers like you using a self-chosen prompt. This makes it easier for them to choose designs and is intended to help increase sales. The function is available in our product designers in the 'Design' area and for customizable designs on the marketplace.
Why are we introducing this function?
AI has changed the way people interact with designs, and we want to give customers the AI features they're already used to from other tools. At the same time, we’re focused on keeping them connected to our marketplace – so you can earn not just from your original designs, but also from any AI-edited versions.
We hope that the new AI function will further improve the user experience in our shop. Thanks to the high level of customization, it is now easier than ever to choose the perfect design. With this, we aim to increase the overall satisfaction of our customers and generate more orders – and at the same time increase your chances for more sales.
How does the new tool work?
You can find the AI function in the Product Designer in the 'Self-Design' area and on the marketplace for customizable products. Customers can now adjust not only the size and placement of the design but also the design itself in terms of content and style. To do this, they enter a prompt, and the AI function automatically adjusts the design according to the customers' wishes. This function is an enhancement to our existing customization tool and represents the next step in the evolution of our product designer.
What if I don’t want my designs to be customized by AI?
We understand that not everyone wants to allow AI usage for their designs. For this case, there will be an opt-out feature. You will be able to turn off the AI tool directly in your partner account, which will apply for all your marketplace designs. Please note: we will not use your data or designs to train the AI.
How does the new feature affect the design earnings?
If customers use your design on a product and customize it with the new AI feature, you will receive a commission based on the original design price for the selected product – regardless of how much your design has been altered. This function therefore offers you another way to earn money with your designs at Spreadshirt.
What about copyright?
For questions regarding the copyright of your designs, please read our General Terms and Conditions for Partners under section B 1 .
Is my Spreadshop also affected?
No. The AI customization function only applies to marketplace designs.
