Single Account Policy

From 19/01/2021 a single account policy will apply to the Spreadshirt Marketplace. This means that we will only allow one account on the European platform and another on the North American platform.

Why this is good for you

The new regulation will make it easier for you to declare your income to the tax authorities. This may result in having to pay less tax or no tax at all.

This means that you will benefit from the so-called "exemption procedure" by means of an exemption certificate when calculating any withholding tax that may be incurred. What this means in detail and where you can find the corresponding "application for exemption", you can read up on here .

I already have several accounts – what does this mean for me?

If you have been with Spreadshirt for a while, you may still know the Legacy User Area, the predecessor of the current Partner Area. For the transition period of switching from the Legacy User Area to the new Partner Area, we allowed the simultaneous use of multiple accounts. In September 2019, all data was migrated to the new Partner Area . This effort has dispensed with the need for running several accounts. This is why we would like to ask you to deactivate the accounts that you don’t really use anymore and offer your designs on just one account.

If this isn’t possible, you can still use multiple accounts as long as you run these with the exact same address data and with the same tax information. You can manage your personal data and addresses directly in your account.

I am new here – what do I need to do?

Nothing at all. As long as you sell your designs through one account, there’s nothing to worry about. In cases when our Single Account Policy is not being followed, we reserve the right to deactivate or even delete individual accounts.
