As a designer, you earn money with the design price (partner share) at Spreadshirt. The amount of the design price (partner share) depends on the country of sale, product category and sales channel. Discount promotions can reduce the design price (partner share).
Overview of your sales channels
Each sales channel is aimed at different customer groups. In order to offer fair and attractive prices everywhere, there is a separate remuneration model for each channel.
- On the marketplace, we will divide our product catalogue into 3 different levels from 15 September 2025. The design price therefore depends on the respective product category and the selected quality level of the product. The design price (partner share) corresponds to the design price that customers pay us for products with your design.
- In the self-design section, where your Marketplace designs are also available, you will receive compensation for each product sold with your design.
- In some countries, we also offer your designs on external marketplaces such as Amazon or eBay.
New AI feature in Designer: Compensation for designs used
To further improve the user experience in our shop, we are adding AI functionality to our designer. This allows our customers to customise marketplace designs individually by prompt. We expect higher order rates and happier customers. The product designer can be found in the self-design area as well as on the marketplace for customisable designs.
Important for you as a marketplace designer: If a customer uses your design and adapts it with the AI function, you will still receive the design price (partner share) for the chosen product category as compensation – no matter how much the design has been changed. So this feature offers you another way to make money with your designs at Spreadshirt.
